LAW AND PUBLIC SAFETY: THE INTRODUCTORY COURSE TO THE FIVE PATHWAYS IN THE LPSCS CAREER CLUSTER
This is a multifaceted curriculum that develops a realistic understanding of law and public safety careers using research and hands-on student projects. The material includes all five career cluster pathways and can be used as a foundation for an introductory course for the Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security career cluster or integrated into more advanced courses.
Those attending this course will receive the classroom set: 25 student texts (65 pages each) and a teaching guide on CD (all sold separately at a cost of $295). The workshop will provide hands on experience using the materials with discussions on the many ways the materials can be used. The program can be taught as a one semester introductory course with added speakers and visits to local public safety/law related organizations.
The materials can also be incorporated into more advanced courses as much of it relies on problem-based, case studies.
