The National Conference:
Fostering Careers in Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security

The National Partnership for Careers in Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security (LPSCS) serves as the LPSCS Career Cluster leader through agreements with the State Directors of Career and Technical Education and recognition by the US Department of Education, OVAE. This annual conference will include examples of career programs in all five of the cluster pathways: fire and emergency services, law, security, corrections and law enforcement. In addition, new curriculum, assessments and certifications will be highlighted in key sessions. Additional sessions will include: the role of colleges, starting or improving programs, program evaluation and certification, and specialized programs that can be add-ons to career programs such as Explorers, Youth Court and student organizations. The Conference will have two continental breakfasts and a luncheon with a major speaker. In addition two networking receptions with be held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

 

The National Conference will be held prior to the National Career Pathways Network Conference and is offered for those specializing in law, public safety, corrections and security career programs and those supporting such programs. The new curriculum, assessemnts and certifications in corrections, law enforcement and security that meet Perkins requirements, are supported and promoted by key national professional organizations and are linked to the appropriate career cluster pathway will be highlighted. Cost: $300
